ScriptFan, a technology salon community, was started by Davidx and Roamin in September 2010. There have been more than ten activities organized up to now.

ScriptFan is an open community with technology as guidance, with script language as foundation, and with application as direction. Any people can participate in the community to share their own experience and learn from others. The monthly salon is held at 1:30pm of the second Saturday of each month. The venue is in Room of Robust Internet at D201, Qinfeng Ge, Xi’an Software Park.

In the early salon activities, we usually invited professionals to make long-distance sharing, from which people gained a lot. But then these professionals are getting busier and having much less time, we gradually have to share our own experiences within the community. Now, the salon activities mainly focus on discussing and sharing. Topics vary from an analysis on the characteristics of a script language, a tool application, an experience of a fresh new technology or recent discoveries and so on.
