While iWeekenders raised the bar of creative chaos by engaging in high intensity ideation on Day 1, there was no lack of energy and enthusiasm during the entire length of Day 2 & 3 as well. The spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation was for everyone to experience. All 7 teams got to business early on Saturday morning – once again braving the heavy Pune rains.
First half of Day 2 was all about brain storming and collaboration. Teams worked on their respective iWeekend – Business Model Canvases and immersed themselves in solid discussions on Business planning and strategy. After the lunch break, teams reconvened to meet the mentors. iWeekend’s eminent mentors came up with some very useful insights. In at least 2 instances, entrepreneurs had to revisit their ideas and completely transform their business plans as advised by the mentors. The mentors were impressed with the variety and quality of ideas presented. Day 2 ended with a round of progress presentations. This was a platform for all teams to exchange feedback and inputs on the other ideas. Dinner was followed by an “after hours” party (and no we are not talking about an IPL style party. At iWeekend, even our parties mean business!)
Day 3 was about giving finishing touches to the ideas. Participants worked together in their respective groups to come out with a solid business plan, revenue model, marketing strategy, value proposition, customer engagement strategy, etc. and by evening, teams were ready with the final presentations. Highlight of the day was the “Healthy” and “Tasty” lunch arranged by team “HealthyFood Inn”. It gave a platform for the team to test their product. Not only did the iWeekenders enjoyed a sumptuous and healthy lunch but also learned a lesson on innovative market research strategy.
Even as I write this post, teams are getting ready for their final VC pitches. Watch out for the concluding post of the event.
